Sunny Palomattam (Mohanlal) is an established businessman in Singapore. He enjoys a flamboyant life with girlfriend Sandra Valookaran (Meena). His business rival, Mohammad Ali, was a partner who left after he was found embezzling company funds. Sunny discloses his past to Sandra: his family was a happy one, until Pappan (Rajan P. Dev) framed Sunny's father Ittichan (Madhu) in a fraud case. Shortly after, Ittichan died of a heart attack, and Sunny's engagement with fianc e Nancy (Divya Unni) is called off. Sunny flees to Mumbai, and then to Singapore with Kuruvilla's help. Later, Sunny learns that Sandra, who he plans to marry, is actually a call girl hired by Mohammad Ali, to spy on Sunny and foil his business plans.To fulfill his marriage commitment to his family, he and Sandra pretend they are still engaged when they go to visit Sunny's family in Kerala. In his hometown, he meets the old enemies who falsely accused his father of theft and thus ruined the family reputation. Sunny plans to take revenge on Pappan, Tonychan (Ganesh Kumar) and company, aided by Paily (Jagadish). In the meantime, he meets Nancy who is now married to Paulachan (Dileep), Tony Chan's younger brother. When Tony tries to sexually assault Nancy, Paulachan is humiliated and commits suicide. Mohammad Ali arrives with a gang from Singapore to reveal Sunny's "false marriage" ploy in an attempt to destroy him. Sunny pleads with Mohammad Ali to forget everything so that he can live a happy life and offers all his assets to Mohammad Ali, but Mohammad Ali has a change of heart and leaves Sunny and his family alone. Chitra Narayan (Simran), a political journalist with Observer Daily in Delhi, is in love with Kiran Verma (Akshay Anand), a budding actor. She intrudes into the illegal affairs of Paul B. Issac (Devan), a Delhi-based politician. Paul B. Issac commits a murder and gets actor Kiran's face morphed onto his body in the video, whereby he traps him for the crime. Raju (Suresh) is a taxi driver cum tourist guide down on his luck. Nandini (Meena), a tourist with mental retardation makes her presence in Tirupati and meets Raju, then a series of events are intertwined with the lives of Raju and his friend Nethranandham (Chinna). In the early part of the movie, hilarity ensues in their misguided attempts in getting rid of Nandini. However, Raju and his friend (Chinna) happen to know that she is an escaped mental patient who has a bounty on her safe return. When they find that the bounty has been increasing for a while, they decide to hide Nandini for a while and surrender her to claim the bounty when it gets big enough. They also change her appearance by cutting her long hair short. Nandini reveals her true story to Raju that she was born to her unknown mother and retired Justice Pundarikam (Kaikala Satyanarayana) but is brought up in orphanage. She used to call Justice (Kaikala Satyanarayana) who used to visit her in orphanage as "Sweet Man" unaware of the fact that he was her father. After knowing the fact that he was her father, she obtains the address of her father from her warden and goes to see her father. In the absence of her father, she was drugged and sent to mental asylum by Pundarikam's sons and daughters-in-law. She managed to escape from the asylum and that is how she met Raju. Raju promises to help Nandini and appoints her as housemaid in her father's home. In time, they realize that things are not as they seem, and more complications are unraveled. more»
