Chinna (Sumanth) is born in jail to a mother who dies during childbirth. The Jailer (Chandra Mohan) feels sorry for Chinna and adopts him. In a dramatic situation, Chinna kills the Jailer s brother and is put in jail. Upon release, the jailer and his family tell Chinna to stay away from them. So Chinna moves into a rough neighborhood that happens to be under the control of the local mafia there. He overpowers the mafia there eventually and becomes a protector for the people there. A clerk in the commissioner s office (Charmy) enters as a co-tenant in Chinna's house. Love sprouts between them. However, she mistakenly assumes that Chinna is a soft natured guy. She's unaware of his reputation in that locality nor of his murderous past. Their relationship breaks when she finally discovers the truth about Chinna. How do they get back together? Why did Chinna kill the jailer s brother? Will Chinna become a part of the jailer s family again? Thilagam (Sobha) is a young girl from the village who comes to work as a servant in Venkatachalam's house. Her innocence draws Venkatachalam towards her and they get intimate. She becomes pregnant but Venkatachalam refuses her. Thilagam is driven out of Venkatachalam's house and gets support from Sanjeevi and Kasi (Hanumanthu), a person who is hard of hearing,also worked at Venkatachalam's house and has affection towards Thilagam. Sanjeevi provides Thilagam with lodging and requests Kasi to stay with her and look after her. Thilagam delivers a child. Months later, after Sanjeevi and Kasi appealed to his conscience, Venkatachalam repents and is ready to accept Thilagam, but she decides to live her life with Kasi, who took care of her during her pregnancy. Pallavoor Devanarayana Pothuval aka Devan (Mammootty) who is a talented drummer. People flock to the festivals just to see him play the drums with utmost devotion. His father opposes his relationship with a girl belonging to a lower caste and forces him to marry a girl of his choice Vasundhara (Sangeetha). Unable to bear his decision she commits suicide. He leads a very glum life with Vasundhara though she loves him and takes good care of him. He gets injured while trying to save his teacher s daughter from some miscreants and is taken to an Ayurvedic hospital. Mezhathoor Vaidyamatam Nampoothiri s (N F Varghese) granddaughter Seethalakshmi (Raasi) who falls in love with him so the doctor asks him to marry her. He refuses and goes back to his wife. She becomes pregnant and simultaneously he learns that doctor s granddaughter is also pregnant. Everyone in the hospital thinks that he is responsible for it. She loses her sanity after Devan leaves the hospital. Vasundhara dies of shock when she hears rumors about her husband. He goes to the hospital to tell the doctor that he is innocent but in a fight which follows he accidentally kills a guy and is sent to jail. What follows is how he comes back from the jail and probes into the strange happenings and brings the truth to light. more»
